Mission - The Robins Air Force Base Honor Guard performs in over 1200 ceremonies yearly. Our primary duty is to “Honor with Dignity” by providing dignified military funeral honors for Airmen that have served their country with honor. Robins’ area of responsibility spans three states, covering nearly over 75,000 square miles throughout Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Additionally, the Honor Guard is responsible for supporting many other special events such as memorials, military retirements, change of commands, award banquets, and various civic events.

Requesting Services - Instructions for funeral and non-funeral ceremonies are under downloads. Please use the appropriate forms. Requests may be emailed to 78.fss.fsho.rhgs@robins.af.mil or they may be faxed to 478-926-0953 or DSN 468-0953.
Once requests are received, you will be contacted for confirmation. Requests are approved on a first come, first served basis. Military Funerals take precedence over any other ceremony. Ceremony requestors need to contact the Robins Honor Guard 24 hours prior to your event to confirm we can attend.

How to Join - As a ceremonial guardsman, Airmen are placed on a 90-day tour and are assigned solely to the honor guard. We conduct eight training classes annually. We are looking for highly motivated, sharp professionals. E-1s to E-6s typically perform this duty, but all ranks are encouraged to apply. Training class dates and frequently asked questions can be found under downloads to the right.
