MISSION STATEMENT

To provide safe, well-supervised, reliable, and appropriate out-of-school care for children, kindergarten through sixth grade, while supporting military and DoD civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of family life and accomplishment of the DoD mission.

SCHOOL-AGE PHILOSOPHY

Robin’s School Age Programs provide safe, enriching, supervised environments for children and youth during out of school time. Individual interests, experiences, abilities and needs guide the programming. Children have the right to be heard, listened to the influence decisions. We promote experiences and opportunities that enhance rather than duplicate the school day. Our programs maintain an atmosphere that encourages flexibility and allows for freedom of choice within appropriate guidelines. We strive to reinforce family values and emphasize the uniqueness of each child by promoting positive attitudes and validating self-worth.

GOALS

Personal Development-supporting positive self-concept, fostering independence and life skills, encouraging responsibility.

Social Development-establishing friendships, learning social skills, gaining social support, developing a sense of community teamwork.

Physical Development-building physical and recreational skills, appreciating the ability to rest and relax Cognitive Development-advancing success in school, exploring new ideas and facts.

SCHOOL-AGE FEES AND CHARGES

Fees are set by DOD guidelines and if there are changes to fees the changes will only take place the beginning of school year. Fees are based upon total family income.

STAFF QUALIFICATIONS

All School-Age Program Assistants working with your children are trained in school-age care and must complete the Air Force School Age training modules. We provide training in all key areas of the NAA standards to include health/safety, administration, interactions and relationships. All staff is First Aid and CPR certified. . The training program is on-going and designed to ensure staff is current in program policies and procedures as well as acceptable youth development trends.

A minimum of two School Age personnel is always on duty in the facility regardless to the number of children present. The adult to child ratio for routine activities for children 5-12 years old is 1:12. Ratios for high-risk activities are lower and vary according to the activities. Our center is certified and recognized by DoD as a School-Age Program.
