Dear Newcomers,

We are excited you will be coming to Robins Air Force Base to live. Our youth sponsors are here to welcome you and help make your transition to your new home. When you arrive on base please stop by the Youth Center and one of the Torch or Keystone Club members or a staff member will provide you an orientation.  Parents are welcome at any time.

Youth Programs is for ages 9 – 18. We have a before and after school program for youth ages 5-12. If you have siblings younger than 5 who require child care we have 2 Child Development Centers.

We have a terrific Youth Program and great youth. We know you will have fun and make lots of new friends while you are here. Membership is reasonable, $ 1 a day, $20 quarterly or $40 yearly. Your first visit to the Youth Center is free so please come by and visit us. We also have a web site that you are welcome to check out and view some of the great activities we offer such as Torch Club, 4-H, Fit Factor, Smart Moves, Power Hour, and Arts and Crafts. The gym and computer room are available for your use daily. We offer special events such as dances, field trips, and skate parties for the youth.  Once a month we offer Give Parents a Break/Give Kids a Break for ages
5 – 12.  This activity is free with a voucher or $15 per child. Youth participating in Give Parents a Break are provided dinner and a snack and fun activities for the kids.

If you enjoy sports our program offers spring and fall soccer, baseball, flag football, cheerleading, and basketball to include clinics/camps during the summer such as soccer, tennis, basketball, dance and volleyball.

There are 3 malls in the local area, the Galleria Mall, Macon Mall and the River Walk Mall. There are several movie theaters in the area and Houston County has 20 elementary schools, 7 middle schools and 6 high schools. Traveling 2 hours north you can be in Atlanta that offers a wide variety of entertainment, museums, amusement parks (White waters, Six flags and Stone Mountain). In the same area is Helen, Ga. and the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Traveling 3 hours south to Valdosta GA is an amusement park named Wild Adventures that many youth enjoy going to.  Three hours Southeast of the base is Savannah GA where you can enjoy the beach, or your family can take a trip 4 hours south to Florida where you will find theme parks, museums, and beaches.  The Information Ticket and Tours (ITT) office has discount tickets you can purchase.

Again, welcome to Robins Air Force Base we are excited about your anticipated arrival and you being a part of our community. We are always open to new ideas to help better this Club for you. For any more information please feel free to call us at 478-222-KIDS (5437) or 478-926-2110.
