Developing and encouraging social awareness
Social awareness is very important for children when interacting with their peers in a group and this awareness is developed over time.
Consideration of others is important and children experience many interactions throughout the day learning skills to help cope with their feeling. Children will imitate the actions of others and seek approval from teachers, friends and family members. The staff model appropriate behavior for children in all areas that will foster their social development for years to come. “We work hard to assist the children and to help them develop skills to assist with their interactions at the child development center, home and daily life.” said Pam Martinez, CDC East director.

Celebrating Military Families
"Taking care of families is a solemn promise we make to each Airman and family member," - Secretary of the Air Force Michael B. Donley.
November is National Military Family Appreciation Month.  Secretary of the Air Force, Donley and AF Chief of Staff, Gen. Norman A. Schwartz, have designated the week of Nov. 1 - 7 as Air Force Family Week.  So that we may recognize and celebrate our Robins AFB families, the child development center programs will host special parent involvement activities throughout the month as well as provide education and awareness of the many Air Force programs available on the base.  Please watch for more information on these events to be posted in your child's classroom!
